The long-anticipated market recovery showed its first signs of improvement at the beginning of the year. The growth that Powder-Trans has managed to sustain in recent years has now gained significant momentum.
The overall challenges still linger as a shadow over developments in the transport sector. Fluctuating and high fuel prices are, of course, the daily challenge for the industry. As compensation for these could not be implemented immediately, they continue to have a significant impact on costs over time. The overall cost level remains challenging, considering inflation and upcoming inflationary pressures.
We continue to work daily to balance supply and demand, which in the current market situation has proven to be highly variable from one day to the next. The emerging upturn means that capacity is currently limited and challenging, but we have handled our assignments well.
The industry’s profitability level is therefore not at its best for the moment, but further improvement is expected.
